Police Step Up Action Against Anti-Social Behaviour at Sevenoaks Hospital

Yesterday on Monday 30th June 2025, officers from the Community Safety Unit visited Sevenoaks Hospital as part of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week. The visit focused on tackling recent ASB issues in and around the hospital grounds.

Local officers met with the security specialist and staff to discuss the progress of an ongoing Proactive Management Plan. Courtesy of Sevenoaks District Council, officers also handed out personal safety alarms to staff and supplied two motion sensor PIR alarms to improve security on site.

PC Nick Hubbard, leading the visit, said:
"We’ve seen a range of ASB problems here — from graffiti and drug use to staff feeling unsafe when leaving work due to groups of youths being loud and abusive. ASB can make people feel intimidated and unsafe in spaces where they should feel secure. I’ve already identified seven individuals involved; five have been dealt with at the police station and issued ASB sanctions in front of their parents. We are tackling this head-on and I want people to know we’re fully committed to making this area safer."

Police continue to encourage the public to report ASB and support local efforts to keep the community safe.
